The Maritime Centre currently operates a fleet of small wooden rowing and sailing vessels. These are available for use to our members. The use of these boats is included in the membership fee.

Our boat fleet consists of

The Acorn, a one person rowing dingy with the capacity for 3-4 passengers

The Peapod, a two person rowing dingy with capacity for 5-6 passengers

The Whitehall, a two person rowing and sailing dingy with capacity for 5-6 passengers

The Chatham’s Cutter was built at the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre A replica of the Zachary Mudge, a ship used by Captain Vancouver’s crew. The Cutter is an Eight Person Rower with the option to sail and has a 12 person capacity. The Maritime Centre currently has a cutter team that rows twice a month.

Members must visit reception to sign out a boat before heading out in a dinghy.
