Boat Building Workshop: Getting Started in Wooden Boat Building.
The course of six, 3 hour sessions, will introduce you to modern wooden boat building techniques and gives hands-on experience with shop tools and equipment. Previous woodworking experience is helpful but definitely not essential. As part of a team (maximum six students), you will be building a simple but elegant 15', plywood rowing-dory. You will learn how to transfer dimensions from plans to materials, cut and join plywood, and mill fir and cedar to create parts of the structure.

LECTURES
March 15th is Alberta Woodworth and her story of Edac
Edac 80 Years Cruising the North Coast of British Columbia was written by Noel Woodworth and was edited and published by his wife, Alberta. It was a 15-year project, and sadly, Noel passed away August 22, 2006 before its completion.
Alberta's objective was to complete the book for Noel, and her intent is to donate any profits to a charity.
According to an old-time friend in Prince Rupert, "The stories sound just like Noel!", and that was Alberta's mission accomplished.
