You can print off a Registration Form from this site (under the menu on the left) then complete and return it along with your registration fee. Post-dated cheques are not accepted.
Pre-registration is required.
On Arrival
The Registration Desk will be located in the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre Office in Cowichan Bay. For added safety, first-aid coordinators will cruise the docks (look for the red jackets). Their base of operations will also be in the Maritime Centre Office.
We appreciate your usual courtesy, co-operation and patience while our energetic harbour control organizes docking. (Festival Wharfinger Radio Contact: VHF 68). Pick up your registration kit and participant ribbons at the Registration Desk, Friday June 26 12:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs. All boats on the main fingers are asked to dock stern to the main dock.
Washrooms/Showers
Washrooms for participants are available at various marina sites, at the front of the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre (open 07:00 to 21:00 ) and on the Government Dock. Showers are available at some marinas for a fee and at the Oceanside Grand Resort & Marina for a $4 per person entrance fee including use of pool and gym.
Please note: there is no reserved docking, and “For Sale” signs or “Charter” signs are not permitted.
Space is always at a premium and the Festival Wharfinger will determine final location of all vessels. Simply arriving first does NOT guarantee dockside. Some boats may be required to moor Mediterranean style.

The "Fast & Furious" Boatbuilding Competition is a fun team event. Teams may spend up to, but not more than $100.00 on materials plus a $100.00 registration fee. Valid receipts for these materials must be presented to the judges prior to the competition, salvaged and reusable materials are allowed, but must be calculated into the value. No power tools can be utilized, no pre-cut/shaped panels (must be done on-site) and no pre-cut transoms, molds or bulkheads, no pre-assembly, ripping materials are allowed.
You will be judged costume, building speed, design, decorations, cost of materials, site clean-up and race winner. A banner with company or organization logo is permitted, and in fact encouraged. Teams will have 3 hours to build and then an hour to decorate followed by the race. There’s more to it, but that’s the gist of it … and it is an absolute blast.
