The Centre’s Facility Manager, Tony Owen, is a self-confessed gear head. Members know him as the man with “magic fingers.” Tony works on the principle, “If I can’t lift it, I won’t fix it,” so he won’t fix the newer big outboard engines. He prefers engines that are at least five years old. Tony is also an acknowledged Seagull engine expert, and many of those outboards are at least fifty years old.
He works by donation: Leave it and he will service it or repair it and he hopes you will donate what his efforts were worth.
